GORDON'S RESERVE STOCK
RRC proudly introduces a new program - Gordon's Reserve Stock; offeringlimited edition countertops rendered in salvaged or highly figured species - by Gordon Kyle.
Gordon (our owner) has
been a woodworker, artist, craftsman, furniture designer, as well
as a "student of wood" for the past 30
years.
It's clear that he is all about wood: he lives
and breathes it, he works in it every day, he heats his home
with it, and he often wears
it (sawdust). Sap may well run in his veins!
In this program, Gordon travels New England searchingout interesting wood species, hand selecting the boards,and personally composing
works of "countertop art".
The
species and available blanks will change over time based upon what Gordon finds.
Much like choosing a particular slab ofgranite, this page gives the buyer a visual of the raw material available
and a good sense
of what the final
product could
be.
